Questions We Get Asked Often

Atlanta, Georgia
Atlanta Tornado Movers moving and relocation

Booking and timing

How far ahead should you book? A window of two to three weeks tends to work well for most in-town moves. End-of-month weekends and the middle of summer fill up first, so if your lease ends on the last day of the month, get in touch early rather than waiting.

Weekday moves are usually easier to schedule on short notice than a Saturday in July, since fewer people are competing for the same date.

Apartments and high-rises

Do you handle apartment and high-rise moves? Yes, and they are a big part of what we do in Midtown and Buckhead specifically. Elevator bookings, loading-zone rules, and stair carries are all part of the normal estimate, and we bring floor and door protection along on the day.

If your building requires a certificate of insurance, tell us early so we can have it ready before your reserved window.

Packing

Can you pack everything, or just the fragile stuff? Either one. Some families want the whole house boxed the day before, and others just want the kitchen and the artwork handled professionally, so the quote follows whatever you actually want covered.

Weather and long-distance pricing

What happens during a summer storm? Georgia storms can roll in fast in the afternoon. We watch the forecast, adjust the loading order so nothing sits exposed, and keep the truck closed between trips.

How are long-distance moves priced? By the weight of the load and the distance traveled, plus any packing you ask for. You get the estimate in writing, and the final weight is confirmed on a certified scale before delivery.

Storage and downsizing

Can you move items into a storage unit instead of a new home? Yes, and it is a common request for anyone between leases or waiting on a closing date. We load and unload storage units the same careful way we handle any other stop on a move.

Do you help with donation drop-offs if I am downsizing first? We cannot haul donations ourselves, but we can point you toward options near your neighborhood so the truck only carries what is actually coming with you.
